Gabriela Alanis

Gabriela was born in Laredo, Texas. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s University and St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2015. During law school, Gabriela actively worked with the Immigration & Human Rights Clinic as a pro-bono volunteer, student attorney, and a research assistant. In 2014 she was a Quarterfinalist in the Linda and Dave Schlueter First Year Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining VLRH in 2020, Gabriela worked as a First Chair Felony Prosecutor for the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office. Gabriela prosecuted all criminal cases before the 275th District Court, cases ranging from Felonies of the 1st Degree to State Jail Felonies. Gabriela is based out of the Edinburg office and focuses in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury defense, and Texas Medical Board grievances.
